Theme: Swadheenta Ka Amrit Mahotsav through Cinema
Bharatiya Film Industry has been the medium to influence crores of people in Bharat and also create an image about our country abroad. We have seen movies inspiring generations of people in the last one century of the existence of the industry. We realize the importance of this industry to have a great impact on the social fabric of the country.
Even though the film industry is a medium of entertainment, it is also a medium of influence. In this background it was felt that although there were a lot of programmes including entertainment nights, awards and other functions, a platform that would encourage debate and discussions on an intellectual level was missing.
Hence Cine Talkies by Sanskar Bharti was conceived. It is a first of its kind conference on The Bharatiya Film Industry which will be held at periodic intervals to encourage the free exchange of ideas among the academia, film fraternity and the public in general.
